Your first recipe
Three ways to add your first recipe — from a link, from pasted text or from scratch — and what you need to fill in to save it.
An empty recipe book shows three buttons: Import from a link, Paste recipe text and Write from scratch. Below them is Przepisnik suggests to start — a few ready-made recipes you can add with one tap on Add.
From a link
Got a recipe on a blog or a recipe site? Choose Import from a link, paste the address and tap Import. The article on importing from a link has the details.
From pasted text
- Choose Paste recipe text (or add a new recipe — on your phone the round + button on the Recipes list, in the browser Add recipe).
- Paste the whole text into the “Write or paste a recipe…” box. The name should be on the first line, followed by the ingredients and steps.
- A Recognised list appears under the box: name, portions, time, oven, and the number of ingredients and steps.
- Tap Next — the form fills in with what was recognised.
From scratch
Choose Write from scratch, or in a new recipe tap I’ll fill it in myself. The form has three parts: Info, Ingredients and Steps (in the browser it’s one page with sections).
What’s required
Only the name. The message “Give the recipe a name — that’s the only thing required.” reminds you when you save. You can fill in the rest later with Edit.
When you’re done, tap Save. If you leave the form without saving, next time you open it you’ll see “Restored an unsaved draft” — keep it or Discard it.
